ARTICLE 4 – SPECIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS FOR THE DEVICE IN USE
4.1. To be eligible for the Service, the Second-hand Device must strictly comply with all of the following conditions:
a. It must be one of the devices listed in the range available on the Online Store www.mondoaffari.it and be eligible for sale in the European market.
b. In order to be awarded a grade of A, B or C, the device must be fully functional from a technical point of view: it must be able to switch on and operate correctly even without the power supply, connect to, operate on and disconnect from supported networks, and retain its charge properly. The battery must be in good condition and must not display any error messages, service requests or replacement notices. It must also have a remaining battery capacity of at least 85 per cent of its original capacity; otherwise, the estimated final value will be adjusted.
c. The device must be solely and exclusively owned by the private customer (legal entities are not permitted). Devices that are, for example, on a contract, hired, leased or similar are not permitted.
d. Based on the technical assessment carried out by World Business and at its sole discretion, the Used Device will be classified according to its condition into one of the following four (4) grades, which affect its trade-in value:
GRADE A: product in perfect condition, with no obvious signs of use. Only minor surface scratches are permitted, not detectable by running a fingernail over the surface and not visible from a distance of approximately 30 cm. Furthermore, the device must not have any chips, dents or other cosmetic damage. Devices with display defects, including lines, dead pixels, cracks or any other form of damage, will not be accepted.
GRADE B: Product in good condition with signs of wear and tear. There may be deep scratches, which can be felt by running a fingernail over the surface and are visible from a distance of approximately 30 cm, as well as minor dents; however, cracks are not permitted anywhere on the device.
Devices that are not fully functional or have display defects, including lines, dead pixels, cracks or any other form of damage, will not be accepted.
GRADE C: Product with obvious signs of use, such as discolouration or paint damage, deep scratches, or minor scratches on the display, provided these do not compromise the integrity and full functionality of the device. Devices with display defects, including lines, dead pixels, cracks or any other form of damage, are not accepted.
GRADE D: The product has technical faults, but must have an undamaged display. The screen must be clear, free from dead pixels, cracks or other forms of damage, and the touchscreen surface must be free from scratches. The product may be in good cosmetic condition or show obvious signs of use, but it must be complete with all its parts, with no components missing. Devices that are faulty or have any form of damage to the display will not be accepted.
e. The serial number and/or IMEI must be accessible and must not have been altered or removed.
f. There must be no signs of corrosion on the headphone jack, the SIM card slot or the power port, and no liquid ingress must be visible on the display.
g. It must not have been tampered with or previously repaired by an unauthorised service technician. The Second-hand Device must not have any visibly counterfeit parts, and the Customer declares that they have not tampered with the Second-hand Device nor used unauthorised repairers.
h. It must be reset to factory settings in accordance with section 5.3. Products running the iOS operating system must be unlinked from iCloud accounts or the ‘Find My iPhone’ feature must be disabled accordingly. Alternatively, devices running operating systems other than iOS must, in all cases, be unlocked and free of any accounts associated with them (see procedures in Annex A of these General Terms and Conditions) and from the Android Device Manager app for mobile phones running the Android operating system.
4.2. In the event of partial fulfilment of the requirements, World Business reserves the right to reassess the Trade-in Value, and the Customer may reject the new offer, in accordance with the return conditions.
4.3. World Business reserves the right to check with the relevant authorities whether the Second-hand Device has been reported lost by a third party or stolen, and to verify that the Second-hand Device is not owned by the Customer. Should any of these conditions arise, World Business may retain the Used Device and hand it over to the relevant authorities or act as directed by the authorities, and the Customer shall not be entitled to receive any Trade-in Value.
ARTICLE 5 – SENDING THE DEVICE
5.1. Once the Sales Agreement has been submitted, the Customer will receive a shipping label. On the chosen date, a courier representative will collect the Used Device free of charge from the address provided by the Customer.
5.2. The Used Device must be posted in accordance with the instructions provided to the Customer in the email sent by World Business, properly packaged and complete with all its ancillary parts, including accessories such as chargers or USB sticks, which must be sent together with the Used Device.
5.3. The Used Device must be returned free of data, personal information and passwords, and with the original firmware. It is the Customer’s responsibility to send the Used Device and its accessories in suitable packaging for transport, which will not be provided by World Business (in accordance with Article 1. PACKAGING INSTRUCTIONS as set out in Appendix A) and follow the instructions specified in the ‘Sales Process’ email, as well as the instructions set out in Appendix A of these Terms and Conditions.
5.4. In order to ensure the protection of their privacy, the Customer is obliged, prior to the dispatch of the Used Device, to remove all associated accounts (including, but not limited to: Google, iCloud, Microsoft or equivalents), and to completely and permanently delete all personal and confidential data contained therein, including, by way of example, contacts, calendars, photographs, messages, call history, emails, text messages, videos, browsing history and any other stored information, as well as to reset the device to its factory settings, leaving only the original operating system.
The Customer is also required to remove the SIM card and any memory cards from the Device.
The Customer acknowledges and agrees that failure to comply, even in part, with the above obligations may result in the cancellation of the service, without this entitling the Customer to any compensation or refund.
World Business shall not be held liable for any loss of data contained on the second-hand device handed over.
ARTICLE 6 – ASSESSMENT OF THE DEVICE USED
6.1. Upon receipt of the Used Device, World Business will commence the Assessment by analysing the Used Device’s compliance with the requirements set out in Article 4. Should the Used Device be classified as Grade A, payment of the amount due to the Customer will be made automatically. Alternatively, if the Second-hand Device is classified as a grade other than A, the Customer shall be required to accept or reject the outcome of the assessment carried out by World Business, as communicated via a specific email, within a maximum of 30 (thirty) calendar days from the Customer’s receipt of the same. Should the new grading not be accepted by the Customer, World Business will return the Used Device to the Customer in accordance with the procedures set out in clause 3.9.
6.2. Within 60 calendar days of receipt of the Used Device, if the outcome of the assessment results in a Trade-in Value being determined as Grade A, World Business will notify the Customer of the Used Device of this via email (“Final Email”) to the email address specified in the Service registration form.
6.3. If, within 30 calendar days of receipt of the Device, the assessment results in a grade lower than Grade A (B, C or D) because the Used Device does not meet all the requirements set out in Article 4, paragraph 1, letter d “GRADE A”, the Customer will be informed by email of the Trade-in Value achieved and will be asked to confirm their acceptance.
6.4. If the valuation result is lower than Grade A, the Customer has 30 (thirty) calendar days from receipt of the email containing the assessment result from World Business to accept or reject the proposed Trade-in Value, failing which the right to use the Service will be cancelled.
6.5. The Customer may accept the new Trade-in Value by sending an email to World Business within 30 (thirty) calendar days of the date on which the new valuation was communicated, or may request, by email, the return of the Used Device. In the event of a request for return, the Used Device shall be returned to the Customer in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in clause 3.9.
ART. 7 – PAYMENT OF THE TRADE-IN VALUE VIA BANK TRANSFER
7.1. From the date of receipt of the Second-hand Device and once the payment method via bank transfer has been selected, World Business will assess the Second-hand Device and make the final payment to the Customer within 60 (sixty) calendar days. Any costs relating to bank charges shall be borne by the Customer.
7.2. It is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure that they have provided the correct IBAN on the Service application form and that this IBAN remains accessible for twelve (12) months from the date the service is requested. If the IBAN details are incorrect, the payment will not be made. The account to which the IBAN refers must be held in the name of the Customer to whom the personal details provided relate.
7.3. In the event of an error when sharing the IBAN, the Customer may request the return of the Used Device, bearing the cost of postage.
ARTICLE 8 – FURTHER INFORMATION
8.1. The Customer declares that they are aware of the value of the Used Device according to the various GRADE classifications (A, B, C, D). If the Used Device is classified as Grade A, payment of the amount due to the Customer will be made automatically. Otherwise, if the used Device is classified as a different GRADE (e.g. B, C, D), the Customer shall be required to accept or decline, within a maximum period of 30 (thirty) calendar days, the new Trade-in Value offered by World Business.
8.2. All communications relating to this Service will be sent by email to the address specified by the Customer when signing up for the Service. It is therefore the Customer’s responsibility to ensure that the personal data provided is correct and valid; otherwise, the Customer will not be able to continue using the Service. It is the Customer’s responsibility to monitor communications relating to the Service. Some email providers may classify these emails as SPAM, so we recommend that you check your junk and/or SPAM folder regularly. World Business shall not be held liable in the event of failure to receive and/or read communications sent by email, which may be due to the Customer’s email issues or other problems not attributable to World Business.
8.3. Should the information provided in the various steps described in the preceding articles be found to be false, participation in the Service shall be deemed void. In such cases, World Business shall return the Used Device received to the Customer, and the Customer shall bear the shipping costs in accordance with the procedures set out in Article 3.9.
8.4. Any attempts at abuse or fraudulent use of the Service may be subject to legal action in accordance with applicable laws.
8.5. World Business accepts no liability for any failure to provide the Service should the Customer experience limitations not attributable to World Business, such as, by way of example, access issues, obstructions, malfunctions or difficulties arising from technical equipment, computers, cables, electronics, software and hardware, transmission and connection issues, and telephone lines, which may prevent the Customer from using the Service, as well as in the event of fraudulent use of the serial number by third parties.
ARTICLE 9 – PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
9.1. The provision of the Service involves the processing by World Business (or one of its partners) of the personal data provided by the Customer. This data will be processed in accordance with current European legislation on the protection of personal data, the European GDPR and the provisions of the Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms and Conditions, and which the Customer declares to be aware of and to accept.
The sole purpose for which World Business will store the personal data collected from the Customer is to manage the Service as described in these terms and conditions. The data provided by the Customer will never be used for purposes other than the provision of the Service offered by World Business, and will be deleted immediately when it is no longer deemed necessary for that purpose and in accordance with the relevant regulations in force.
9.2. By participating, the Customer confirms that they have read, understood and accepted the Privacy Policy associated with the Service.

ATTACHED: INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO PACK YOUR USED DEVICE CORRECTLY AND HOW TO UNLINK THE DEVICE FROM YOUR GOOGLE, ICLOUD AND MICROSOFT ACCOUNTS
1. PACKAGING OPTIONS
To ensure a high-quality and secure service, we recommend taking a few simple precautions to ensure the Used Device is dispatched correctly, in order to avoid damage or breakage during transit:
- Use packaging that is in perfect condition (boxes that have been reused several times do not offer adequate protection) and, where possible, free from distinctive marks or labels.
- Use sturdy cardboard boxes with intact corners and dimensions suitable for the product to be packed.
- Protect the items contained in the package by wrapping them separately in padding (e.g. polystyrene, bubble wrap) and do not use string or paper to wrap the Used Device.
- Check that the product does not move around inside the box.
- Seal the box with strong adhesive tape. World Business cannot be held liable if the customer fails to follow the best practices described above and accepts no liability for any damage resulting from the customer’s incorrect packaging of the Used Device.
- Make sure you have made a proper backup of your data (contacts, pictures, downloads, Java applications, games or any programmes installed after purchase).
- Include all removable batteries. Where additional batteries are included, you must add the following statement to the shipping packaging: ‘Lithium-ion batteries in accordance with PI 967 Section II (4 cells/2 batteries or fewer)’. The purpose of this phrase is to alert the recipient to the presence of a lithium-ion battery in the parcel, which is particularly important for air shipments. For further information, please refer to the IATA guidelines for the carriage of dangerous goods.
